NEWS AND UPDATES
Hi Coastline Family,
In light of everything going on right now in regard to the COVID-19 virus, we were informed today by the Wiseburn School District that the use of district facilities on the weekends is going to be suspended indefinitely. This news of course was difficult to receive, but we are trusting that it is for the health and well-being of the entire community.
Rather than try to find a temporary home for Coastline on short notice, we believe that there is a need for a healthy balance of FAITH AND WISDOM to combat the fearful times that we are living in. 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” But I believe that FAITH OVER FEAR, needs to be exercised with a heavy dose of wisdom as well. Proverbs 4:6-7 says concerning wisdom “Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!” I believe that this balance is FAITH in Christ and the WISDOM to heed the counsel of our state health officials. Both of which I strongly exhort you to do.
So this is the plan… WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE A SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE THIS WEEK AT 10:30 AM, yet we will gather together from our individual homes. We are switching to a HOME CHURCH SETTING… live from MY HOME to YOURS via ONLINE. I will have a small worship team and a production team joining me at my home to help stream the service.
We will stream on YouTube live. Instructions for streaming will be posted in the next 24 hours.
I pray that this news does not discourage you, but that it is well received. My prayer is that the Lord would use us to encourage those whose hearts are filled with fear. That we would have a message of Hope for the lost, lonely, confused, and hurting in our communities.
As far as the OPEN HOUSES are concerned, they were scheduled for the next 3 Sunday’s but are now postponed. We will reschedule these events once we are able to hold services again at the middle school facility.
Please church stay focused on Jesus. I love you and miss you!
